A. Training Overview
The Patient Activation Measure (PAM)™ measures individuals knowledge, skills and confidence to manage their health. Unlike other approaches, the PAM™ does not assess one behavior at a time, but instead recognizes that people who feel “in charge” of their health engage in a whole constellation of health related behaviors. It is a global measure of an individual’s overall ability to manage their health. Further, it has been demonstrated that activation levels are changeable. With effective support, individuals can gain in their activation levels overtime.
